Whats up fellow fans and ball players. Lately we've been hard at work in trying to provide you guys with more and more content rather it be video, blog posts, shorts etc. Well, we also need you to respond to our content. It seems like asking isn't doing the job, so how about.....I give away some free gear?
Here's the deal, the more you post, the more points you get. Your points will be accrued by how many times you reply to our posts and topics you create in the forums that actually get feedback. The busier you make the site, the more we will give you. Here's the breakdown.
Discussion Points:
Discussion points come from whenever you the member replies, or gets involved in a discussion that we or someone else on the site posts. The more discussions you get involved in, the more points you earn, because each comment is considered 1 point. Discussion points can come from blogs, forums, video comments, or player profile pages.
Note that you cannot spam or just post random things in a discussion, these need to be valid comments in which you are actually being involved in the discussion. Anything we deem spam we will delete and you will lose your point.
Forum Topics:
Forum Topics are basically what the name says. You create a topic in the forum and get people involved in your topic. If you get a forum topic that has 10 or more comments I'll give you 10 points on top of the 1 point for creating a discussion.
Tip: The better discussions will get more followers and comments.
Note that if more than 3 for every 10 comments are your own comments, we will not award the 10 point bonus.
Friends
Friends are what they read to be. The more friends you add to your profile page the better, for every 100 friends you have, I'll tack on 100 points to you, but don't think you can just go add everyone cause not everyone is active. If you want to get those 100 points, you can go spread the word about ballislife and get your friends at school, your neighbors, or even your gf to join.
Note You can only get the 100 points if you actually have 100 points, 99 friends means you need to get another friend.
500 points:
you will get a free Ballislife.com keychain lanyard (coming December 4, 2009).
1000 points:
you will get a free Ballislife.com official baller bag (see store for pictures).
2000 points:
we'll give you a free dvd of "The Project" volume 1.
5000 points:
Any 1 item in our store is yours. Keep in mind that by the time you get this amount of points, we'll have zip up hoodies, pullover hoodies, we already have shorts, the new bil dvd etc.
Once you think you've obtained this amount of points, contact me, and I'll review and hook you up!

Comment by MattRodriguez on November 30, 2009 at 1:54am - there is one, go on your profile page and look at discussions, that tells you how many discussions you have been involved in, and how many blogs you have created and so on. that will be your tracker as well as you looking at your friend count as well.

- new rule just enacted, for every 100 friends you have, you will get 100 points!!! remember not everyone on here is actively on the site, so if you know someone who loves basketball tell em to come sign up and get on the site, spread the word and we'll make sure your taken care of!
